2 Introduction
This policy covers the AZRI website, iPhone and Android apps, Apple Watch and Wear OS companion apps, and connected care services. The data involved depends on the features you use, your account role, permissions, and enabled connections.
3 Data We Collect
We may collect different types of data depending on how you use the platform:
Account Data
Name, email address, account identifier, role and language, and phone number when provided. Your password is used for authentication and stored in the account as a hash.
Health Data
Episode times, symptoms, possible triggers, injury indicators, notes, medication schedules and dose records, observations, alerts, appointments, care tasks, reports, and emergency-card details provided by you or an authorized care team.
Device & Technical Data
Device type, operating system, IP address, browser type, usage data, and access logs.
Payment & Subscription Data
Where paid plans are available, we process subscription and billing data through certified payment providers. Full card details are never stored on our servers.
4 How We Use Your Data
We use data for the following purposes:
- Providing AZRI services and operating user accounts.
- Displaying health indicators, alerts, and reports to authorized users.
- Improving service quality and the overall user experience.
- Providing technical support and customer service.
- Sending important notifications related to your account or service updates.
- Analyzing performance, detecting faults, and protecting the platform.
- Complying with regulatory and legal requirements when applicable.
5 Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Data may be shared only in the following circumstances:
- With trusted service providers assisting in platform operations (hosting, notifications, analytics, payments).
- With healthcare facilities or care providers authorized by the user or account owner.
- When legally required or upon a formal request from a competent authority.
- To protect the rights of AZRI, its users, or the integrity of the platform.
6 Health Data Protection
We treat health data as sensitive and apply appropriate safeguards including encryption, role-based access control, monitoring, and restricting data access to authorized persons or systems only.
Health data and connected devices
Connecting Apple Health / HealthKit or Health Connect is optional and requires your permission. AZRI reads only the data types you allow: heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, temperature, steps, exercise, and sleep. This connection does not write measurements to either service.
Measurements or summaries, timestamps, and available source information are sent to the patient’s account-linked AZRI record to provide care context. Sync may occur when requested or when the app is brought to the foreground after permission is granted. Revoking permission stops subsequent reads; it does not delete previously synced data.
Watch companions use limited-purpose credentials to access summaries and emergency information and to log episodes. Devices may retain an emergency-card cache and queued episode records for offline use. These tools provide information and do not diagnose conditions or guarantee seizure prediction.
External services and optional connections
External services depend on the connections enabled for your care program. If WHOOP or Fitbit is enabled and you connect your account, authorization tokens and permissions are used to retrieve supported health, sleep, or activity data. Each service has its own privacy policy.
When notification channels are enabled and used, Apple Push Notification service, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Twilio SMS, or WhatsApp Cloud API may deliver messages using device destinations or contact numbers and the information needed for delivery. Moyasar may process transactions in an enabled payment flow, and FHIR exchange may send care records to an authorized healthcare facility. An available connection is not necessarily active for your account.
Contact us to ask which providers process your account data, including hosting and enabled operational services. Do not include passwords, connection tokens, or full medical reports in a general inquiry.
7 Data Retention
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the service, for the period required by law, or as needed for protection, auditing, and technical support.
You may request deletion of your account or data, subject to any regulatory or operational obligations that may prevent immediate deletion of certain records.
8 User Rights
Depending on applicable regulations, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion or restriction of processing of certain data.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Request a portable copy of your data where technically feasible.
Manage permissions and privacy requests
- Review AZRI permissions in Apple Health or Health Connect and turn off the data types you no longer wish to share.
- Use your website profile to review wearable connections and notification preferences. Also review authorization in WHOOP or Fitbit when disconnecting a service.
- Account management and deletion are available in the signed-in website profile; deletion requires password confirmation. For access, correction, deletion, or restriction requests, contact the privacy team. Identity and authority must be verified before a request is processed.
- Uninstalling the app or disconnecting a device does not delete your account or all stored records. Some records may be subject to the retention obligations described above; ask us to clarify the scope of your request and any records retained.
9 Cookies
The website may use cookies to enhance your experience, maintain sessions, analyze performance, and personalize features. You can manage cookie settings through your browser preferences.
10 Children's Privacy
AZRI services are not directed at children below the legally required age. We do not knowingly collect their data without verifiable parental or guardian consent.
11 Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be published on this page. We may notify users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform.
